Tourism in New York City includes nearly 47 million foreign and American tourists each year. The city reached a record high for tourism in 2011 — and unusually warm weather was part of the draw. New figures released Wednesday show 50.5 million tourists visited the city last year. The boost came from mild temperatures at the end of last month, according to the city’s official tourism arm, NYC & Company.
