Petroleum is one of the hottest commodities available, and is increasingly in demand. Many companies have

made billions on oil, and it’s one of the most valuable substances throughout the world.

1. Exxon Mobil


With revenues over 500 billion, the Exxon Mobil Corp makes 5.3 million barrels of oil every day. Exxon Mobil has over 37 oil refineries in 21 countries, and is the largest refiner in the world.

2. Saudi Aramco

Saudi Aarmco produces 12.5 million barrels of oil a day.  The company makes more than $1 million in revenue a day.

3. PetroChina


PetroChina makes over 4.4 million barrels of oil a day, producing more than Exxon. In 2007, they were the first company to be valued at over 1 trillion dollars.

4. Royal Dutch Shell


The parent company of the United States’ Shell Oil, Royal Dutch Shell is the 2nd largest company when it comes to revenue. Shell is one of the largest companies in the world, according to Forbes 500.

5. British Petroleum


Also known as BP, British Petroleum is one of the six major oil companies in the world. It’s also the 3rd largest energy company and produces 3.3 million barrels of oil daily.

6. ConocoPhillips


ConocoPhillips makes around $250 billion in revenue annually. Although their stocks fell and they are producing less oil, they are still a big player in the oil industry.

7. Gazprom


This Russian company is a natural gas company, with revenues of more than $40 billion annually. They produce 9.7 million barrels each day.

8. Chevron


Chevon makes less than BP and Shell, however, it still produces over 3.5 million barrels per day.  It’s still one of the big six oil companies as well.

9. Abu Dhabi National Oil Company


2.9 million barrels per day makes this United Arab Emirates company one of the biggest as far as revenue. Currently they’re working to build a new pipeline and control a largest share of oil field.

10. Iraqi Oil Ministry


The Iraq company has production numbers of over 2.3 million barrels per day. New plans for its untapped oil fields mean it can be a bigger player in the oil game soon.
