millions. That could buy millions of packs of regular ball point pens. Here’re the top 10 most expensive pens in the world.

Mont Blanc, which makes luxury leather, writing instruments and watches, produces this royal pen featuring a barrel made of 18 karats white gold. It’s also encrusted with 1,430 brilliant-cut diamonds and an 18 karat gold nib. A paramount-cut diamond makes up the clip ring and 19 diamonds make up the Mont Blanc star logo. The cost of these most expensive pens? $174,000.

It took master jeweler Robert Perron six months to complete this pen. Its price tag comes in at $275,000. The pen honors Modernist architect Antonio Gaudi.
